Situated on a tree-lined road, close to Torquay’s seafront and town centre, this small and friendly family-run guest house is an ideal base for touring the English Riviera.
Acorn Lodge is a friendly guest house that is convenient for disabled guests as it has a ramp from the street, stair lift to the dining room and ground floor rooms. The guest house is ideally located just a short distance from Torquay’s seafront, town centre and the railway station. Families are especially welcome and the guest house has a selection of family rooms to cater for most needs.
Each morning in the attractive dining room you can enjoy a continental buffet or traditional full English breakfast, which is included in the room rate and is locally sourced wherever possible. With free on-site parking and free wireless internet access also available, this guest house is a very convenient option.

Acorn Lodge operates a non-smoking policy in all parts of the guest house. For group reservations a separate confirmation detailing payment and damage policy will be sent in addition to your booking confirmation. All adult parties occupying a family room will be charged by the hotel for the appropriate adult rate, per person per night.
Please note: a separate good behaviour bond will be charged by the hotel to single sex groups.
The Acorn Lodge is very flexible over late arrivals however please contact the Acorn Lodge in advance to make arrangements.
Payment is required on arrival. The hotel does not take any payment before arrival unless instructed to do so.

From the M5 motorway:
- Follow signs to Torquay on Newton Road, continuing straight through several sets of traffic lights until eventually reaching Torre Train Station and Halfords on your right.
- You need to be in the right hand lane (turn right out of Torre train station if on foot) which leads to Avenue road.
- Continue straight, passing an Esso station on your left and then continue straight through the lights.
- Keep travelling straight for about 300 yards and look for Bampfylde Road on the left. Travel up Bampfylde Road and take the 2nd left onto Bridge Road. Acorn Lodge is 100 yards on the left.
From the seafront:
- Keeping the sea on your left from Torquay centre, follow the coastal road until you see the Grand Hotel on the right after the bowling greens.
- At this point take the right hand lane at the traffic lights and turn right for Torquay Train Station on Rathmore Road.
- Continue past the train station on your left (turn left out of Torquay train station if on foot) and follow the road to the first set of traffic lights, keeping left.
- Turn left onto Avenue Road and look for Bampfylde Road on your right.
- Continue as above.
